Dos & Don'ts: Cultured Marble Countertops

What to do and what not to do to make your cultured marble last forever!

Dos

  • Clean spills immediately, especially acidic substances like citrus juices or vinegar, to prevent staining or etching.

  • Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge regularly to avoid damaging or scratching the surface.

  • Seal as needed, to help protect the surface and maintain its shine.

  • Use cutting boards and trivets under sharp objects and hot pans, to prevent scratches or heat damage.

  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning, using a soft cloth to prevent water spots or streaks.

Don'ts

  • Don't use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as they can scratch or damage the surface.

  • Don't use acidic cleaners that contain ingredients like lemon or vinegar, as they can etch the surface.

  • Don't place hot objects directly on the surface, as it can cause discoloration and heat damage.

  • Don't sit or stand on the countertop, as it can cause cracks or damage to the surface.

  • Don't use wax or oil-based products, as they can build up over time and dull the surface.
